As design marches on and trends change it pays to keep up with the new trends in order to survive and stay successful, and one of the bigger trends in the coming year will be animation.
“Understand Disney’s 12 principles of animation” by Tammy Coron takes a look at basic principles that helped make Disney one of the top animators in the world. A few of those principles are
- Squash and stretch
- Anticipation
- Timing
There is a lot to learn here, but, with these and the other principles listed under your belt it won’t be long before you master the art of animation in your design.
It does not matter what the new trends will be, if you don’t have the basic principles down you’ll never achieve the level of success that you are capable of.
This is a great insight into animation that should be read by old and new designers alike, also a great resource to have in your design toolbox fora ready reference.
