ARTICLE SUMMERY: “Fundamentals of Hierarchy in Interface Design (UI)” is a great article by Leonardo Moreno explaining the significance of hierarchy in design and how to achieve it.

Leonardo Moreno goes through all the elements and how they are used to achieve good hierarchy design, some of these elements include,

  • Size
  • Color
  • Proximity
  • Alignment

Just to name a few. He concludes his article by saying, “In UI design, nothing is just aesthetic, and the visual hierarchy is undoubtedly one of the best weapons we have for directing the user experience, re-powering design standards and offering a direct path to interface objectives.” It’s hard to argue with that.
